China is supposedly buying more than 1 trillion of our current debt. I am aware that we have a trade deficit but it is no where near that amount. So how are they buying our debt? Now take a second glance at this contradiction. On one hand, we are still poor, for we get meagre reward from global trading. But on the other hand, we are quite rich in terms of foreign exchange reserves. Since china has limited sources of secure oversea investment and US government really appreciates China holding more US T-bonds, Chinese government is supposed to buy more US debt regardless of the depreciation of US dollars. And it seems really weird that you guy can't understand the point that it is we chinese people that get your country through the financial crises. Got it?
